#cbsiTalkingBusiness: February 2020 Business Educators

Finding talented future leaders for banks and financial organizations is always a key challenge, especially with never ending new technology to manage.

This months #cbsiTalkingBusiness e-magazine presents our talks with several area college presidents, business school deans and instructors, engineering instructors, adjuncts (Like me) and a commandant.

We appreciate the participation of educators from NY Institute of Technology, NYU Stern, Manhattan College, Fordham University, Iona College, Harvard Extension, County College of Morris, Baruch College, Mercy College and West Point.

Many key business topics discussed, STEM Education, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Communications Skills, On-Line Marketing, Customer Service, Workforce Education, and Leadership Development.

Patti Devine has more than 25 years' experience in solving the marketing challenges of companies large and small. Prior in her career managed customer retention for Time Magazine's 4 million subscribers. She currently teaches marketing and entrepreneurship to undergraduate and graduate business students at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business.
New York Instutute of Technology
A fascinating talk on STEM education, technology management, vital to banks and financial service organizations, with Dr. Hank Foley president of New York Institute of Technology. While noting importance of STEM education Dr. Foley points out that communications skills are essential, "You have to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively".
Manhattan College School of Engineering
That's Prof Richard Schneider, Assistant Dean of the Manhattan College School of Engineering. A civil engineering major from Manhattan, Prof Schneider describes his initial experience in the mining industry, studying for advance degrees in Business and Computer Science, before returning to his Alma Mater as an instructor.
County College of Morris
That's Dr. Anthony J. Iacono, President of County College of Morris, located in Randolph, NJ. on Workforce Education program initiative now enrolling over 6,000 students. We discuss mix of liberal arts and STEM education, programs in cyber security, music technology, animation, virtual reality, "Virtual Hospital", Workforce Education and new "Engineering, Manufacturing" building under construction.
Fordham University
Fordham University instructor and Digital Marketing expert Robin Colner is CEO of DigiStar Marketing based in Harrison, NY We discuss changes in programmatic ads, re-marketing items clicked on but not purchases, left in online purchase baskets. What retailers need to do to compete with on-line marketers Amazon, Walmart, and others.
Harvard University Extension
That's Christina Inge, instructor at Harvard University Extension and Northeastern University, College of Professional Studies also CEO of Boston, MA based Thoughtlight.net. We discussed growth of Voice Activated Search" at New England Direct Marketing Association conference held at Bentley University. She will teach two courses in Spring 2020 at the Harvard Extension in Marketing Analytics" and "Faster Product Launches"
Iona College
New president of Iona College, Dr. Seamus Carey, in comments praising the leadership of alumnus Robert LaPenta, the benefactor who gave $17.5 million to the sparkling new Robert LaPenta School of Business Building in New Rochelle, NY dedicated on January 29th.
US Army
That's Commandant, Brigadier General Curtis A. Buzzard at recent Class of 2020 "Assignment Night" for approximately 250 seniors who were assigned to Infantry Branch of US Army. BG Buzzard is a 1992 West Point graduate and has served around the world as an Infantry Office.
